Tresor is an ACCET Research Fellow from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He is currently serving as Operations Manager for a Hong Kong-based international commodities trading company, which I joined in 2024, I contribute to the development and execution of commercial transactions involving a range of strategic resources across the Democratic Republic of Congo and other African countries.
Certified by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and COPEX, I have developed multidisciplinary expertise at the intersection of international trade, metallurgy, customs procedures, geopolitics, and resource economics. This background enables me to analyze evolving trends in critical minerals markets and assess their industrial, economic, and strategic implications for Africa.
My research interests focus on critical mineral value chains, industrial sovereignty, local beneficiation policies, the geopolitics of the energy transition, and the dynamics of global commodity markets. I regularly publish analyses and commentaries aimed at fostering informed debate and promoting a deeper understanding of Africa’s role in the emerging global economy.
Through my work and writing, I advocate for development strategies centered on value addition, industrial innovation, and a more balanced integration of African countries into global supply chains. I believe that critical minerals should serve not only as export commodities but also as catalysts for sustainable industrial transformation and long-term economic prosperity across the continent.
