Africa is entering a defining moment in the global energy transition. As demand for critical minerals accelerates, the continent’s resource endowment places it at the center of emerging clean energy supply chains.
Yet, resource abundance alone does not guarantee transformation. Without deliberate strategy, Africa risks remaining at the lower end of global value chains—exporting raw materials while importing value, jobs, and industrial capacity.
The Africa Critical Minerals & Energy Transition Dialogue – Inaugural Edition, convened by the Africa Centre for Critical Minerals & Energy Transition (ACCET), brings together key stakeholders to drive a more strategic conversation—one focused on positioning Africa not just as a supplier of resources, but as a competitive and influential actor in the global energy transition.
